Alvar Aalto’s anniversary at the Finnish Glass Museum
Tiftö Collection will contribute to the Finnish Glass Museum´s celebration of Alvar Aalto´s 125th anniversary with loans of rare Aalto glass vases. The exhibition opening in May 13 will run until October 15, 2023.
The Collection’s paintings at Halosenniemi
Pekka Halonen´s paintings Tuonen lehto (The Reaper´s Grove) and Talvimaisema Myllykylästä (Winter landscape from Myllykylä) are on loan to Halosenniemi, the artist’s home museum in Tuusula. The exhibition is dedicated to his wife Maija Halonen, originally from Myllykylä in Karelia, which became one the artist’s favourite motifs. Maija posed for The Reaper’s Grove, which came to the Collection through Rafaela Seppälä’s grandfather Eero Erkko, the artist’s friend. On view until April 23, 2023.
